On a beautiful summer day in July, Summit County residents and visitors toured local gardens in Frisco, Silverthorne, and Dillon.  The event is put on by the Summit County Garden Club, and attracts hundreds of visitors.  The tour allows visitors to ask homeowners and contractors gardening questions, while seeing the variety of plants and gardens that thrive in our unique growing environment.  Proceeds from the event went towards a scholarship for a CMC student intern with the High Country Conservation Center.  Also, proceeds contributed to a new native plant learning garden at the Keystone Science School.  Many thanks to the homeowners who opened their gardens to the public, everyone who attended the event, and Kaileen Higney Photography Specialist for the beautiful photos from the tour.
